Regionals
Wednesdays 5.15pm, Carslaw Lecture Theatre 157
‘Regionals’ is your weekly dose of debating and the best way to get involved if you’re new to the scene. Each Wednesday at 5.15 in Carslaw Lecture Theatre 157, the debaters of Sydney meet to socialise and debate. The night features regular seminars from experts and veterans on debating technique or issues pertinent to debating. Following the seminar, those attending are treated to some free pizza, pide, sushi or sandwiches.
Then, once everyone is fuelled up, it’s time to debate! Regionals allows you to form a team on the night with friends and debate socially. If you’re new to debating and don’t really know anyone in the Society, not to worry - our Competition Officers are always there to help get you started. Regardless of your level of skill or experience, Wednesday nights are sure to be fun, enlightening and social: a great way to make some new friends and sharpen up your debating skills!
